Who can come to camp?
Summer camps at Big Laurel are for kids finishing 2nd grade all the way through high school! Our camps are separated into older and younger age groups.

When is camp?
We offer four weeks of camp every summer. Camp starts on a Tuesday and ends on a Friday afternoon.
Summer 2024
June 11-14, Tues-Fri – Younger girls camp
(elementary school)
June 25-28, Tues-Fri – Older girls camp
(middle and high school)
July 9-12, Tues-Fri – Younger boys camp
(elementary and middle school)
July 23-26, Tues-Fri – Older boys camp
(high school)
What do you do at camp?
Each camp is a four day, three night over-night camp. Campers will enjoy crafts, hiking, swimming, bonfires, ecology lessons, team building, and much more!
Our past nature themes have been "Water is Life," "The Web of Life," reptiles and amphibians, biodiversity, and geology. Let us know if you have any suggestions for future camps themes!

Where is camp?
Camps are hosted at Big Laurel Learning Center's Web of Life Ecology Center. Click here for directions! We also offer camper pick ups and drop offs at the Par Mar Store located on Marrowbone Creek.
Interested in being a camp mentor?
Have you always wanted to be a camp counselor? If you went to summer camp as a kid or never got the chance, we'd love to have you join us! If you are a high school or college group or individual who is interested in dedicating a week or more this summer, let us know!
